daily life : paris berbere

I’ve been watching this collection grow on Instagram and swooning over the colors, textures and patterns. I truly can’t decide if I love the brights or the neutrals better.

Each rug is handmade from Morocco, by Berbere women using ancient techniques. The woven and knotted wool are distinct for asymmetry and creative liberty in design. Rugs are traditionally “story-boards”, telling anecdotes of life, sharing histories and weaving wishes into being: fertility, love, harmony.

Anyhow – the selection makes me want nothing more than to own a little old house with a stone floor, completely covered in these rugs.
